# Mirror

This repo is a mirror of the upstream MCP server that exposes TypeSafe Jev:

    https://github.com/rashedInt32/jev-mcp   (MIT)

It was mirrored at upstream commit `27603c1` (v0.4.0) so the code behind the
`jev` MCP server is owned here rather than pulled fresh from the npm registry
on every `npx -y jev-mcp`.

## Syncing with upstream

    git fetch upstream
    git merge upstream/main      # or: git rebase upstream/main
    git push origin main

`upstream` is GitHub, `origin` is this forge.

## Running this copy instead of the npm package

    npm install && npm run build
    claude mcp remove --scope user jev
    claude mcp add --scope user jev -- node /Users/ben/projects/jev-mcp/dist/index.js

The API key still comes from `~/.config/typesafe/key` (or `TYPESAFE_API_KEY`),
never from a tool argument.
